Very briefly, OOo4Kids and OOoLight run on Mac OS X, windows and Linux (x86, amd64, powerpc, armel, amrhf), and are locliazed in 17 locales. We work on users demand, mostly teachers and seniors, who explain us their needs. Once analized and debated on our lists, we decide what can be implemented. If nobody objects, we do it.

The main idea are :

• work with students ( e.g. from Ecole Centrale Nantes)
• propose to reverse the code to OpenOffice.org, when interesting (it can be refused, that's not important, the point is to reward the student's work)
• document what we do.
• working together on Open formats, using Campus Libre

As example, the changes in the code contain a lot of information are explained on this wiki. e.g. :

• NewStartCenterBehavior
• PasswordProtectedPreferences
• ChooseLevelInPrefs
• ToolbarsAndUserLevel
• AddNewCursors
• ColorSelector
