I have some good fonts for arabic language. they are better than the one in open office its self. they are clear to read and they are the simple font for arabic language. in other words, their simplicity are very good for kids. do you want to me add them in this page. the other fonts are good but because their designed for Unicode 8, they usually skip some special items in arabic language. Can I add the fonts in the wiki than it can bee add to OOo4kids?

Hi,
I believe you, that there are good fonts for arabic language. Now, let me explain a bit. Since a while, teachers asked for better -say adapted - fonts, like curved/linked one. We finally found free fonts, respecting the needs and so, we integrate them now. + two additional fonts will be used for pepdagogical purpose, and one will help about dislexia. All in all, 5 fonts will be added at the end (this is a big change for us already).
The counterpart: add new fonts is very nice, but it does increase the size of the final archive, and can cause slow down at runtime. So we must take care everytime we add one.
Since I'm building Mac and Windows, maybe we could build separately the Arabic version, and include specific fonts ?
Now, what I need to know is :
- how many fonts do you want to add ? (choose one or two, but not more would be appreciated)
- are the fonts you mean free ? ( mandatory )
- what is the exact size of the .ttf file ?
The other possibility could be to create an extension, for Arabic only (and probably other RTL languages e.g.), and containing the fonts ?
What do you think ?

Actually, there are one font :) It just one font. it was my mistake when I said "some". This is the website for the font. the licence is here (it is in Arabic language).
It is free to copy, spread and use in personal, business , private and all fields (it is like GPL3 here) But:
1) you "as user" you do not have the right to say "it is mine" it belongs to them, who is "King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an." (it is like GPL3 here)
2) you "as user" do not have the right to re-edit or re-change any part of its characters or any thing in the font. (so it is open source but the material is not changeable)
3) you "as user" do not have the right to sell it. In other words, no one has the right to sell it. Beside that, it is free of price.
by the way, this is not a translation of the licence. This is simple understanding of my mind ;). Also, it is a OTF type. But, I think this is not a problem. here is the Download page (it is in Arabic but it is clear). it showed two fonts. they are the same. They only different is that one of them is bold and the other is normal. The one that I am taking about is the normal. The size of it is 132Kb. When you download it, you will have two files. One of them is the normal (one that I am talking about) and do not care about the other one.
my opinion about spreading the versions of OOo4kids is (I do not know). if you want to spread version because of the font, I do not prefer. But if you want spread version because the RTL interface and translation and other stuff, it is up to you. I was wondering will you spread version of OOo4kids depending on the languages in the future? Because now, the OOo4kids is already spreaded by language. For example, When I went to the download page, each language has its own version. Actually, the size of the file for each language is different than the other.

Found two problems
1. Can somebody fix the title? I forgot how to do that in WP, but I probably don't have the permissions. 2.
