EducOOo présente OOo4Kids ! Le Projet OpenOffice.org Éducation a pour buts d'établir un pont entre OpenOffice.org et le monde de l'enseignement ainsi que de recruter et former de nouveaux développeurs.
Il a comme support en France l'association EducOOo.

Dans le cadre de ses activités en étroite relation avec des professeurs, nous avons identifié un besoin : une suite bureautique dédiée à l'éducation et plus particulièrement au premier degré.
Ainsi est né le projet OOo4kids (prononcez "OpenOffice for kids"). OOo4Kids est une version allégée d'OpenOffice.org :
Dédiée aux 7-12 ans Avec des adaptations spécifiques au monde de l'éducation Qui fonctionne partout (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows) International / Multilingue OOo4Kids est fait dans un but pédagogique, avec l'idée de contribuer en retour au projet OpenOffice.org (http://www.openoffice.org), à travers le projet OpenOffice.org Education et des projets étudiants, mais pas seulement (toutes sortes de contributions sont bienvenues, bien entendu).

OpenOffice.org para niños: OOo4Kids Esta iniciativa surge como parte de los Proyectos de Educación de OpenOffice.org, cuyo principal objetivo es crear un puente entre OOo y el mundo de la Educación, asi como entrenar y reclutar nuevos desarrolladores.

Los cuales en conjunto con algunos profesores, vieron la necesidad de crear una suite ofimática dedicada a la educacion, principalmente de los niños de primer grado.
Así nació el proyecto OOo4Kids ("OpenOffice.org for Kids"), el cual es una versión mas ligera de OpenOffice.org y con una interfaz mas llamativa. Entre sus principales características están:
