Please do not translate the page yet

Definition
Why a new translation process?
The main reason of setting up a new translation process was the fact that the current localization process is bad, and must be improved, due to the growing number of translated locales. Secondary, catching the interest of upstream OpenOffice.org translators and their experience and work.
Rules : TBD
- There is no Lead system in OOo4Kids, and "have Fun" is the basic rule :)
- There is no company controlling everything: freedom, and answer the need first
- People from a given locale can propose themselves, to act as contact, for a while
- FIXME : define a rule for lost accounts, i.e. people not contributing since a long while (TBD)
- ...
Who
Anybody willing to help in OOo4Kids localization, for new features, or anything related.
Please note that OpenOffice.org needs translators too. These two can also share translated content, if implemented correctly.
Proposal (may be subject to modifications, changes and so on)
First proposal :
Second proposal :
LATER :
- use a Pootle server online
- use associated tools
- Make sure new templates and po's are available for merging with more complete upstream OpenOffice.org translations, which share strings with OOo4Kids.
- If technically possibe to implement alongside with Pootle, a dedicated Subversion archive is wanted by the more seasoned translators.
for right to left languages
To translate from right to left, there is some difficult specially with the layout of OOo4kids wiki. To fix this problem, you should add ( dir="rtl" ) in the beginning of the page. This will make the page behaves well for right to left languages. Also, any object in the page must be define as ( right) example:
Before:
|valign="top" style="width:25%; border-left:1px solid #73D216;padding-right:1.5em;"|
after:
|valign="top" style="width:25%; border-right:1px solid #73D216;padding-right:1.5em;"|
Just that.
Workflow
Depending on the tools, pretty much what you desire.
