• Modifica definitiva alla biuld per sistemazione di un altro problema con Mipsel: -march=mips2 -mtune=mips1, la build è buona, OOo4Kids si installa e lavora a perfezione da un pacchetto .rpm

• Utilizzato il workaround Zhangxiaofei per la build Linux Mips. Sembra funzionare egregiamente (build in progress),il che vuol dire che occorre aprire una issue per l'ottimizzazione della build.
• Todo : resta sospesa la build per sysui, e diventa necessario sistemare la voce fantasma per lo start center nei menu (solo per il pacchetto .rpm).

• Sistemati tutti i problemi noti con il bloccaggio delle Preferenze: la casella di controllo è correttamente segnata da qualunque parte si tenti di accedere nelle Preferenze, anche quando la finestra è chiusa (c'era un errore tra pEntry e pCurrentEntry !).
• Sistemati di conseguenza anche i crasch collegati (succedevano quando si chiudeva la listbox e il valore in pCurrentEntry ed in GetCurrentData() era NULL).
• Aggiunte le modalità astrazione e separazione delle funzioni.

  • Facendo clic sul lucchetto ora viene correttamente abilitata la casella di controllo,
  • Sistemato il funzionamento quando viene inserita una password errata,
  • Facendo clic su "Abilita" non si abilita subito la funzione, ma solo all'uscita dalla finestra di dialogo
• Strumenti -> Opzioni adesso è disponibile dallo Start Center
• Migliorato il codice : migiorata la separazione tra le opzioni di attivazione della funzione e quelle di blocca/sblocca per la modalità in sola lettura.

• Commissionate le stringhe in Finlandese (versione della building per Windows al momento è testata da Risto).
• Aggiunto Risto I. Jaaskelainen come contributor attivo di OOo4Kids.
• Sistemato il problema coi bottoni: qualunque clic viene ingorato se le preferenze sono bloccate.
• La nuova finestra di dialogo per la password è a posto( anche il nuovo layout).
• Le password possono essere attivate/modificate/disattivate.
• LA maggior parte dei test è stato passato, come la lettura e la scrittura della password, verifica dei vaolri eccetera.
• Ultimo passo ancora mancante: la casella degli strumenti per il lucchetto, necessaria ad attivare/disattivare la protezione.

• Dopo 2 interi giorni di lavoro, le preferenze sono protette ! Funziona a meraviglia. Grazie ancora a Thorsten Behrens per i suggerimenti preziosi che mi ha dato.
• Passo successivo: migliorare l'attuale (bruttissimo) layout per la finestra di dialogo password. Implementare la (Casella strumenti?) che contiene la padlock, ed a cui accede il proprietario dei diritti di abilitazione/disabilitazione protezioni.
• Provata una build completa con i nuovi cursori grandi -> no problem.

• Ben Bois ha creato i nuovi cursori : Li ho sostituiti in quelli di sistema (alias "frecce") soltanto sul Mac tanto per iniziare. Funzionano veramente bene. Solo due piccole domande: quando viene aperto un menu contestuale oppure un menu a comparsa, riappaiono i vecchi puntatori di sistema. Com'è?
• Le build per Mac Intel e per Linux Intel (sia 32 che 64 bits) sono pronte con la milestone 0.9. Inizieremo quanto prima la build per Windows.
• Affidati i tag per la milestone 0.9
• Pulizia in set_soenv.in : da ora non si confugura più OpenOffice.org, si configura OOo4Kids  ;)

• Implementate una nuova potenzialità per Impress: adesso è possibile annotare una presentazione, cambiare la dimensione della penna ed il colore, cancellare (e quindi è stata modificata anche la dimensione della "gomma") e salvare le annotazioni. Il codice è stato scritto come parte del progetto OpenOffice.org Education Project, da studenti della Ecole Centrale Nantes. Questo codice è riconosciuto in OpenOffice.org come cws eraser01, integrated in DEV300_m71 since.
• Sistemata una issue nelle build per Windows e Mac OS X, causata da una modifica effettuata in sysui (effetto collaterale della rimozione delle voci nel menu desktop relative a base sulla piattaforma Linux).

• Eseguita una grande ripulitura dello sfondo finestra: ne abbiamo creata una interamente dedicata a OOo4Kids

• Dopo aver accuratamente esaminato il caso con gli insegnanti, l'interfaccia utente è stata portata al 115% di default (la porteremo quasi sicuramente al 120% , decisamente più accurata e meglio usufruibile da parte dei bimbi)

• Sistemati tutti i crash che intervenivano quando OOo4Kids viene lanciato da riga di comando
• Inserite le stringhe in Portoghese (per l'installer di Windows MS)
• Sistematao il crash che avveniva quando si cliccava su una icona nello StartCenter mentre OOo4Kids stava finendo di caricarsi
• Continuato la rifondazione del codice (solo la major release) con le sorgenti della milestone OOO320_m8: tutte le patch sono state create, persi i nuovi file. Il 30% del lavoro commissionato è svolto.

8 Novembre

• Creata la repository per OOo4Kids . Utilizzeremo temporaneamente svn, fino a che non completeremo la migrazione verso git (2010). Durante l'importazione in svn probabile perdita di files. Speso una nottata intera per eliminare questo incubo. Le build sono OK per Mac OS X, in progress per Linux PowerPC, Linux 64 bit (grazie a Ben Bois). Informazione pubblica non appena possibile.
• Aggiunte stringhe per la versione italiana di OOo4Kids. Benvenuto al Team Italiano !!
• Creata la tree per XO. Eseguiti test di lavoro su Linux PowerPC, necessitano però di ulteriori conferme. Stephan Bergmann ci ha dimostrato quali potrebbero essere le soluzioni corrette (probabilmente era proprio quello che ci voleva). Thomas Fontenay e Abdelkader Belabbes mi hanno aiutato per implementarle, provvedendo a darmi le informazioni necessarie per Sugar e la building su Sugar.
•  : implementare le funzioni del diario: solo OOo4Kids può scriverci sopra. Thomas ha iniziato lo studio di una soluzione.
• Thomas Fontenay ha fornito una bella patch per l'inizializzazione di OOo4Kids in vcl, per migliorare l'integrazione con Sugar.
•  : Controllare che le nuove stringhe siano aggornate quando viene aggiunta una localizzazione (work in progress).

• Riposizionate 82 icone coperte da copyright di Sun nelle default_images ( 16, 24, 32 e 48 pixels), con quelle proposte da Ben Bois e decise in Icone di applicazioni e documenti. Eseguito tramite uno shell script, lo stesso script probabilmente sarà utile per riposizionare altre icone, progressivamente. Molte grazie Ben !!

Mosso il primo passo verso la Sugarizzazione di OOo4Kids: Aggiunte funzioni per le proprietà finestra di Sugar

• Nuovo file sorgente SugarProperties.cxx in vcl/unx/source/window/
• Nuovo file header sugarxproperties.hcc in vcl/unx/inc
• Modificato configure.in e set_soenv.in. sono configurabili ora i supporti --with-xo-intel=yes (specifici per le release dedicate ad XO).
• Modificati alcuni file, utilizzando la nuova funzione SetSugarXProperties(Display*, window)

• Il nuovo assistente "scheletrico" per Writer è al suo posto. Non completato: implementazione definitiva.
• Risolto il problema col suono per Windows: la release ora utilizza le DirectX 9 SDK. Ci sarebbe bisogno di alcuni riscontri per i video: è utilizzabile?
• Risolto (per tutte le versioni di Windows) il crash quando si riattiva il computer dallo stand-by. Aggiunta la patch Thorsten Behrens (confrontare l'issue) issue 103464.

• Risolto il problemino con gli addins: ora il wizars per le funzioni di Calc non mostra più per molto tempo tutti gli addins sia nel modo "principiante" or "medio"

• Verificata la build DEV300_m60: OK, ora possiamo passare alla 0.6
• (sperimentale, solo per Linux) Implementata una nuova interfaccia utente personalizzabile. L'idea è quella di utilizzare un paio di file di configurazione, uno per le istanze localizzato nelle users prefs, e l'altro, usato come ripiego se quello principale non viene trovato. La maggior parte dei colori, i caratteri tipografici e qualche altro parametro minore possono essere personalizzabili: per ora lavora bene. FIXME : scp2 non aggiunge voci in bootstraprc come ci si dovrebbe aspettare. Probabilmente c'è un errato uso del parametro scp2 "logical"  ;-)
• Si Continua la pulizia del codice
• Aggiunti nuovi file in sw, per creare una nuova Wizard per Writer

  • aggiunto un PushButton, abilitato quando la checkbox è usata, altrimenti è disabilitato.
  • I bottoni sembra funzionino bene, tranne che al momento dell'inizializzazione della checkbox, e limitatamente all'area attiva sul pushbutton (??)
• Aggiunta la password nel file .xcu ( Common.xcu / Misc node, UserPrefsPassword nodename).
• Ora è possibile recuperare la password nel file .xcu

• Completato il "User Level" nelle preferenze. Tutto funziona come ci si aspettava, e non c'è nemmeno stato bisogno di riavviare OOo4Kids per vedere l'effetto delle modifiche. I valori sono salvati nel file Common.xcu, alla riga $SYSUSERCONFIG/user .. e anche nella giusta directory

• Risolta la risoluzione a 96 dpi x 96 dpi per Linux, anche quando i valori di ritorno sono < 96. Per gdium abbiamo un 75x75, cambiarlo in un 96x96 darebbe decisamente un bel look in gdium ( lo stesso dicasi per i portatili della Intel con lo schermo piccino).
• Modificata il testo della licenza in readlicense_oo + matching scp2, per consentire il ritorno in .rpm e .debs, con il testo corretto della licenza, e le info (non completato).
• Upload della 0.5 per Linux Mips (32 bit), localizzazione in en-US e fr

• Fixed the crash in the prefs, when checking for Java on Linux 64. Was caused by some libxml2 symbol ( mismatch between 32bits and 64bits versions or something like that). Many thanks to Ben Bois who was so kind to provide me the remote builds of the libjfwk :)

• Modified the senddoc script, to be able to use Thunderbird on Mac OS X too. Limitation : This works great, so long as there isn't already a running instance of the Thunderbird application.
• Added the bugfix from issue 104289 (overlap of strings in the prefs)
• Fixed the missing end of line in sfx2, in the string.
• Discussed with Philipp Lohmann on IRC, about how work the modal dialog box. Extremely usefull information, who helped to fix the issues below:
  • Fixed the bad resources IDs in framework.
  • Fixed the .src issue, due to undefined constant and duplicated resources (overlap in framework) : now we have a completely independant dialog box.
• Fixed the title of the License box.
• Yet some removing in Draw and Impress menus

Now all possible cases are ok. Need to trace to retrieve the exact way the event uses.
• Ricardo Guimarães provided the strings for the portuguese localization of the new Start Center and the license menu entry. Thanks to him !

• Added Insert -> Formula in the Writer menu by default (mandatory for fractions study in the programs). Will be in the next version.
• Uploaded up to date Windows and Mac Intel versions including the last fix in sfx2 (en-US and fr only available).
• Fixed a silly issue in sfxbasemodel.cxx : SfxBaseModel:load() does call SfxObjectShell::ResetError(), itself calling SvStream::ResetError() (and ClearError() in tools), means nError should become SVStreamOK == 0 at the end. But the whole thing was not working, and the result was, opening or saving .odt file, a "General Error" without a real error.

• Windows XP port : build in progress (75% done). Lot of changes due to Java causing breakages (unoil, ridljar, vcl, testtools, all have been fixed or hacked - means warnings not fixed, will be done asap-). To be continued
• (to be verified) fixed Linux 64 bits crash when checking Java in the prefs
• Windows XP port: fixed jvmfwk and jvmaccess breakages (yet jni.h reasons) with Pierre Pasteau during SugarCamp. Thanks to Pierre !

• Fixed breakages in curl and neon (both DOS endlines inthe patch), libtestcat ( mips64 unknown), setup_native (rpm-rebuilder missing). sysui yet problematic, and I had to return to PKGFORMAT=installed (bad option passed to .rpm, needs investigation)

• Got the gdium ! Nice machine, with a nice Design, including the packaging. Thanks to the Gdium Foundation to have provided me it.
• after some erratic tries, I finally found the IRC channel #gdium (server : irc.freenode.net). A big thank you to Rémy Clouard, who welcomed me and helped me with very valuable information ( key website : http://glinux.gdium.com/2008.1/mips/media/main/release/ ).
• downloaded the first tree on the VFAT partition -> had to redo all steps on an external hard disk.

• Update : ... the pngloader works on Linux (PowerPC and Intel ) now. Was the Text Renderer to be initialized: the cullprit was, initialization is needed even for bitmap. Uff ! (thanks to Herbert Duerr too)
• worked (spent the day) on the .png loader, because not working on Linux (both PowerPC and Intel). Bug identified firstly because rename the .png in something else, works, but trace X11 needs SAL_SYNCHRONIZE=1 (else, that's impossible). Philipp Lohmann suggestions helped me to isolate the root : was XRenderPeer::InitRenderText in xrender_peer.cxx not working as expected. Investigating

• Reduced the number of functions (in the functions wizard) in Calc, to ~10 by default. Other are working but not listed.
• Fixed crash due to analysis.res missing ( sc/source/core/adincol.cxx , in ScUnoAddInCollection::ReadFromAddIn() exactly )
• added scaddins to the module list in the patch
• In the preferences, the Security tab now returns a blank tab. FIXME : remove Security, Java, Accessibility and Appearance tabs too ?
• png loader code backported to the about. FIXED : the about no longer appears (bad graphical context, and seems to appear either offscreen or on bottom left of the screen

• made the transparency work, means : woo-hoo ... can see the rounded corners !! Was SetPosPixel() missing, GetMask() mandatory, and CreateMask() wrongly documented + provide a correct reference point for the splashscreen location.

• Worked on the .png loader : With Philipp Lohmann and Thorsten Behrens help, I have implemented the clipping (implemented the GetMask(), CreateMask(), Window::SetWindowRegion() ... etc). Does not work yet, for some obscure reason, but promising. Investigating

• the .png loader works !! Thanks to Philipp Lohmann and Thorsten Behrens, the first who told me the region I was drawing was outside of the window, and the second, who explained me a lot of other things I'll have to do : create a mask with rounded corners, and use Window::SetWindowRegionPixel( const Region& rRegion ), and/or even Bitmap::CreateRegion() ... to be improved/continued.

• fixed most of the little issues on Linux Intel
• started to work on the paswword protected preferences
• loadPng() seems to work : the SvMemoryStream and the SvStream seem to work correctly (thanks to Thorsten Behrens)
• the .png does not appear, because something else is not correct afterwards [FIXME : find what happens ... ]
